To prevent underage sexual activity, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and infections, domestic minor sex trafficking and exploitation by empowering at-risk adolescent girls through educational training programs.

Why does Chastity House focus

on Prevention?

Adolescent/Teen Pregnancy, STD/STI Prevention

Sexual abstinence until marriage is the most important message to convey to adolescent girls. It can keep her from getting pregnant and protect her from contracting sexually transmitted diseases and infections. Abstinence from vaginal intercourse is the only 100% effective means of preventing pregnancy, and it is the best way for young people to avoid both pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases and infections. However, if you participate in oral or anal sex, and even armpit or inside of the elbow sex (skin to skin contact), you do stand a chance of getting a sexually transmitted disease or infection (STD/STI). Only abstinence from all forms of sexually-related activity can protect from contracting an STD/STI 100% of the time. There are also long-term physical and mental health related reasons for young people to remain abstinent until adulthood, preferably marriage: the emotional and psychological impact of abortion and adoption, and also financial stress. Women who abstain from sex until past her adolescent and teen years are less likely to get STDs/STIs that can lead to cervical cancer and infertility. Empowering each adolescent girl to know that wisdom is the principal thing, is why we created Rated: PG program to do just that.

DOMESTIC MINOR SEX TRAFFICKING AND COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN

Our mission is PREVENTION.  If we bring awareness and education to our community and neighborhoods regarding this terrible crime, we could collectively stop these so-called "romeo/casanova" and "guerrilla" pimps in their tracks!  Success is in PREVENTION.  Many of our children are vulnerable and impressionable.  Our prevention methods will educate parents, children, adolescents, teens, church members, social clubs, schools, hospitals, local businesses, the corporate community, and the entire community and neighborhoods on child and teen sex trafficking.  We're taking back our neighborhoods and letting these sex traffickers know that we are aware of their game and we refuse to play.

TEEN SEX TRAFFICKING PREVENTION

Child and teen sex trafficking has attracted the participation of increasingly sophisticated, organized drug traffickers and criminal gangs.  Investing in prevention is more cost effective and safer than rescuing victims trapped in illegal unmarked brothels. More importantly, it means some girls will never have to experience torture and rape. We started with the notion that if we really wanted to prevent trafficking of the most vulnerable victims in high-risk areas of south metropolitan Atlanta, we would need to instill change from the bottom up. We would need to start with adolescent girls — empowering them to respect themselves, to value the role of women in their society and to have the confidence and knowledge to stand up for themselves. We created Rated: PG program to do just that.
